If the opportunity is given in this website for the input of personal or business data (e-mail address, name, postal address, etc); that input is voluntary. The use of all offered services is permitted (if and so far technically possible and reasonable) without specification of any personal data or under specification of anonymized data or an alias. The use of published postal addresses, telephone or fax numbers and email addresses displayed on this website for marketing purposes is prohibited. Measures will be taken against offenders sending unwanted (spam) messages.

Use of Cookies

The ISTRO website is not using cookies. But the Clustrmap tracker plugin (tracking visitors) records the location of the IP address and info of the computer the visitor is using. The website of Clustrmaps.com notes the following about use of cookies (text by Clustrmaps.com):

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), issued by the EU, came into force on April 2018. It protects privacy by preventing personal data being processed without consent of the person in question. ISTRO gathers and stores personal data of members for registration (through the registration page) and for regular membership purposes (membership administration, collection of membership fees, etc.). 

Personal data of ISTRO members will never be made public or handed over to third parties outside the ISTRO organisation. In some cases personal data is used in scientific and PhD research that is presented and can be download from this website. We have removed all personal data from these documents, however we cannot guarantee that all personal data is removed.

If personal data is displayed on this website or in documents downloadable from this website, people need to give consent for their personal data to be displayed on the ISTRO website. If persons disallow their personal data to be displayed on this website or in documents downloadable from this website, they should contact the Secretary General that will arrange this data being removed from general public access.
